YouthEngaged.Org was born from a passion for community service among high school students. Our mission is to connect youth with meaningful volunteer opportunities that foster civic engagement.
Founded by students, for students, to inspire change through volunteering.
To empower teens to engage, contribute, and make a difference in their communities.
Che Ramirez and Damian Ramirez are siblings and co-founders of YouthEngaged.Org. They launched the project and website in 2025 with a mission to engage, connect, and inspire high school students to support local nonprofits through volunteering.
As high school students themselves, they knew firsthand how challenging it could be to discover and navigate volunteer opportunities across Los Angeles County. While their parents introduced them to service at an early age, giving them access to meaningful experiences at clothing drives, soup kitchens, and community events, they wanted to make those opportunities more accessible to their peers. Out of this vision, YouthEngaged was created—a central hub where students can easily find diverse ways to get involved and give back.
Che Ramirez is a senior at California High School in Whittier, CA. Immersed in community service since 2017, he has volunteered across the greater Los Angeles area in projects ranging from food distributions to community garden building. On campus, Che is highly active: serving as President of the Scholars Program, Treasurer of the Senior Class Council, President and Section Leader in Marching Band, leader on the Model United Nations team, and Manager/Photographer for the Girls Lacrosse Team. In his free time, Che enjoys hanging out with friends, working out, and practicing photography.
At YouthEngaged.Org, we envision a vibrant community where high school students actively participate in meaningful volunteer opportunities. Our goal is to evolve into a nonprofit organization that amplifies youth voices and fosters civic responsibility.
To create a sustainable platform for youth-led initiatives and community service.
Expand our reach and impact through partnerships and innovative volunteer programs.
YouthEngaged.org has transformed our community engagement.
